Jill is a best-selling author and owner of Forward Fitness, Inc. in Buffalo, New York. She is a certified trainer and group fitness instructor with over 30 years of experience in the fitness industry. She received her Master of Science degree from Canisius College in Physical Education, is a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer, a Certified Functional Aging Specialist, Functional Aging Group Exercise Specialist, Certified Arthritis Exercise Instructor, Certified Drums Alive Instructor, a trained Community Nordic Walking Instructor, and is certified CPR and First Aid.
While working as a Wellness Director at a large physical therapy group, Jill noticed a need for older adult fitness programs and founded Forward Fitness. Jill has specific expertise in the area of exercise training for older adults in reducing fall probability, improving function, and increasing independence. She has been instructing group exercise classes and one-on-one personal training at local community and independent living centers. She has also enjoyed opportunities to write articles, provide workshops, and speak to other professionals and older adults about the importance of remaining active.
Jill is a best-selling author of her newly released book, Keeping Your Parents Active and Independent. She is also the creator of a new and exciting exercise product F.I.T – Fitness In-home Training. This is a simple and effective exercise program that is specifically designed for older adults to help to improve upper and lower body strength.
Jill’s lifelong love for fitness makes her passionate about improving the quality of life of older adults so they can stay fit and active. She believes it is just as important to take care of others as it is to take care yourself.
