"NEW CLASS" Functional Living Exercise
This new and exciting class includes exercises that directly apply to daily life. The movement patterns mimic activities that are relevant and useful - like getting in and out of a chair, on and off a curb, and getting over a puddle. This proven program includes a series of exercises that are performed one after another at individual stations. When these exercises are completed following multiple repetitions, they help to enhance an individual’s functionality.

This effective low impact physical activity program is suitable for people with arthritis and proven to reduce pain. The sessions include gentle range-of-motion exercises that are suitable for every fitness level and ability. Led by a trained program leader.

Participants perform a variety of exercises to help improve strength, balance, flexibility, and endurance. A chair is used for seated/ and or standing support. Each class offers an assortment of innovative equipment.

Learn how to use a ROM Stick to help improve range of motion and increase movement. This easy to hold ROM stick can help maintain normal joint function and keep bone and cartilage tissue strong and healthy. Perform a variety of gentle straightening and bending exercises to improve and maintain flexibility.
What is Nordic Walking Nordic walking uses two specially designed poles to work the upper body while walking. This total body workout is a cross between cross country skiing and fitness walking. Proper use of the poles and arm motion encourages good posture and helps strengthen the upper body. Benefits of Nordic Walking:

People who have given up walking for exercise find that they can walk comfortable with Nordic walking poles. Nordic walking can also help to provide stability, create better bone density, and improve balance.
Another great way to get a positive walking experience is by using trekking poles. If you have serious joint issues, MS, Parkinson’s or are just reluctant to use a walker or cane, trekking poles might be exactly what you need. Originally designed for hiking, trekking poles when fitted with rubber tips on the ends, can be easy used for walking.
